About ABEST Green Power

ABEST Green Power has been serving New York families and small businesses since 2012. We’re a licensed renewable electricity supplier — which means you have the option to choose cleaner electricity for your home.

Your utility continues delivering your electricity and maintaining the grid, just as it always has. The lights, the outlets, your daily routine — all of that stays familiar.

What changes is the supply portion of your electricity.

Because electricity travels through one shared grid, wind and solar power can’t be sent directly to a specific home. Instead, renewable electricity is verified through Renewable Energy Certificates, often called RECs.

You can think of a REC as a record that clean energy was produced and added to the grid.

Each REC represents one megawatt-hour of renewable electricity generated from sources like wind, solar, or hydropower. In New York, these certificates are tracked and verified through regulated systems, so renewable generation is carefully accounted for.

When you choose ABEST, your home’s electricity use is matched with renewable energy added to the grid on your behalf.

Renewable electricity produces minimal air pollution and no direct greenhouse gas emissions during generation compared to fossil fuels. For many households, electricity is one of the larger sources of emissions connected to everyday life. Shifting the supply can quietly lower that impact — in a way that fits into real life.

It’s a simple adjustment in how your electricity is sourced.
Everything else about your service continues as usual.

If having cleaner electricity connected to your home feels meaningful, this is one way to do it — comfortably.

About the founder

Frank Rosa has over 20 years of experience in the renewables industry, with a passion for environmental stewardship that began in his childhood. Growing up in Queens, NY, Frank developed an early love for recycling while helping his grandfather repurpose old car tires into flower pots for the neighborhood. This childhood experience ignited a lifelong commitment to sustainability and set him on the path to making a difference in the world.

In 2012, Frank founded Abest Green Power, driven by his dedication to providing clean, renewable energy to New York residents. His mission has always been clear: to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and protect the environment for future generations.

Today, Frank continues to lead Abest Green Power with the same passion that started his journey, helping others experience the lifelong benefits of transitioning to renewable energy for a better, healthier future.

“Understanding brings clarity, and clarity brings focus, and with focus, we can make decisions faster. Making more informed decisions faster brings us to our goal of a cleaner future faster. And hopefully, easier, for everyone.“
